Bruce Peninsula Bed & Breakfast Directory

Cedar Winds Bed and Breakfast is situated minutes from Lion's Head, right in the heart of the North Bruce Peninsula. With its breath taking scenery, countless outdoor activities, and famous cultural events, the Peninsula offers something for everyone.

The Visitor Centre at www.centralbrucepeninsula.ca will answer all your questions but here are a few suggestions:

ExploreTheBruce.com for all your tourism needs

Lion's Head
Lion’s Head is a short 5 minute drive from Cedar Winds B&B and offers a good variety of shops including a grocery store, pharmacy, liquor/beer store, movie rentals, as well as boutiques offering local crafts and antiques. Swim at the sandy beach or try your luck fishing off the docks or charter a boat.

Bruce Trail
Of course one of the main attractions in the area is the beautiful Bruce Trail; Lion’s Head Lookout and the Gun Point Trail are said to offer some of the most spectacular views on the Bruce Peninsula. Whatever skill level you are be sure to look at www.brucetrail.org and www.canadatrails.ca

Tobermory
Just 50km from us, Tobermory is a picturesque village at the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula with quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. Here is a full day of activities including scuba diving, viewing shipwrecks from a glass bottom boat, have a look at www.blueheronco.com or take a cruise to beautiful Flowerpot Island.

Sauble Beach
Sauble Beach is just 55 km south of Lion’s Head. Here you will find a long sandy beach and amusement park for the family and Sauble Speedway. Check out www.saublebeach.com.

Gardens
See www.ruralgardens.ca for information on the many gardens open to the public.

Rock Climbing
Rock climbing is very popular on the Bruce Peninsula; the Visitor Centre at www.centralbrucepeninsula.ca can help you with any questions.

Lighthouses
Each of the Peninsula lighthouses is beautiful and well kept; see www.cabothead.ca

Fun in the Snow
Be sure to look at www.ofsc.on.ca and have a look at www.ontariosnowmobiling.com. Please, remember trail permits are required in Ontario.
